Frances Radek

Frances C. Radek age 68 formerly of Bolingbrook, IL went home peacefully to be with the Lord on November 8, 2019. She is survived by her children Lisa (James) Kunert, Carmen (Kelly) Gratace, the late Joseph Tinerella and the late Russell Jr. Radek. Her grandchildren Caleb Gratace, Christina Gratace, Logan Guerrero, Taylor (Travis) David, Vivian Kunert and Natalie Kunert. Her great grandchildren Cali Wilson and Roman David. Frances was born in Chicago on February 16, 1952 to the late Stephen and Frances Desiderio. She was the youngest of 5 children and nicknamed Francine by her parents and siblings. In her early 30’s she attended cosmetology school to become a Beautician. She loved doing hair for family and friends anytime she could. Her world revolved around her children and grandchildren. She absolutely loved spending time with family, especially on the holidays and birthdays. She liked to cook, but her true love was baking. Some of her hobbies were spending time with friends in her building, shopping, playing bingo and fishing. She also liked to travel when she could. In 2015 she was diagnosed with a form of ovarian cancer (Primary Peritoneal Carcinoma) that she was treated for and went into remission. Unfortunately, it returned 2 more times following with the last time advancing to Stage 4. Even through all of her health battles she was admired for always keeping her faith and being a fighter. Frances loved our Lord with all her heart; she was a devoted member of Lighthouse Baptist for over 10yrs where even on her not so good days she would still manage to get up to the front and sing to our heavenly father. Frances was such a caring and loving person. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.
