Geraldine J. (Kopicki) Spears, 79, of Stevensville, MI passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 11 :00 a.m. EST at St Joseph Catholic Church , 220 Church St., St. Joseph, MI.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Hanson Hospice Center, or St. Joseph Catholic Church.   Those wishing to sign Geraldine’s guestbook may do so online at  www.heritageberwyn.com.   Geraldine was born July 17, 1938 in Chicago to Gerald A. & Eugenia (Wanat) Kopicki.  She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1957 and went on to become a cosmetologist, which was her passion, and where she made her career.    She wed Rodney Spears on September 12, 1986.

Through the years Geraldine enjoyed being involved with the RCIA program at the St Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joseph.   She loved her family, loved to cook for them, and have family gatherings for every possible occasion.   She had a huge heart for people and animals, and would go out of her way to help anyone in need. 

Geraldine is survived by her children; Ronald L. (April) Moschioni Jr., of Homestead Florida,   Dina (Thomas) Buckley of Stevensville, Robert G.  Moschioni of Stevensville and Christopher A. (Debbie) Moschioni of Stevensville;  step-children Scott Spears of South Haven,  Steve (Robin) Spears of Muskegon, Sherrie (Ted) Hough of South Haven and Stacey (Scott) Zehm of St. Joseph;  grandchildren,  Casey, Eric and Brandon Moschioni, Brett and Aaron Buckley;  Shawn (Aaron ) Pressley, Meagan Spears, Jordan (Mike Jones) Spears,  Sadie Rae Boxer, Andrew Zehm;  great-grandchildren, Nadia, Natalie and Aidan Bowlby, Taryn Pressley, Logan Pressley, Natalie Jones and her brother George T. (Dorothy) Kopicki.  Several nieces and nephews, and her former husband, Ronald L. Moschioni, Sr., of Stevensville.    She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Moschioni in 1959; two grandchildren, Amber Moschioni  in 2015, and Erin Hough in 1994; and most recently, her husband, Rodney Spears, 2 months ago.
