Ann Mugavero

Ann Mary (nee Andriola) Mugavero, age 92, of Victorian Village, Homer Glen, IL, died at her
daughter’s home surrounded by family on May 12, 2021. She passed peacefully in her sleep.
She was born in Chicago in 1928. She married her soul mate Nunzio Peter Mugavero on January
23, 1954. Ann was a stay-at-home mom and homemaker. She loved to travel, read, learn about
American history, ride her bike, and spend time with family and friends. She was an amazing
cook and hosted many a family gathering. She is preceded in death by her son Michael and
husband Nunzio. She is survived by her, sons, Jim (Dale), John (Teresa), and Dan (Christine),
and daughter Nancy (Ben). She has eight grandchildren, Steven, Christopher (Kim), Nicole
(Sean), Jennifer (Nick), Ashley (Mike), Meghan (Joel), Matthew (Liz), and Nicholas. She has 11
great-grandchildren. She will be waked at Heritage Funeral Home, 3117 South Oak Park
Avenue, Berwyn, IL, May 19, 2021, 3-8 p.m. The funeral mass will be at St. Leonard
Catholic Church, 3318 Clarence Ave, Berwyn, IL, May 20, 2021. Graveside services
will be at Queen of Heaven, Catholic Cemetery, 1400 South Wolf Road, Hillside, IL, at which
time Nunzio’s ashes will be interred with Ann, next to Michael. Please note mask requirements
while inside buildings. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the
Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at lls.org.
