Donald Wayne Jennings (92) passed away Mon., 9/13/21, peacefully at home.
"World traveler, Grandfather, Tenor, Ricardian and Raconteur." Loving father of Diane Claire Freer (Bart), (Late) Christopher Wells Jennings and Suzanne Jennings Craig (Peter), grandfather to Nicholas Warren and Chad Wells Freer, Lucas Jennings, Jacob Henry and Sarah Mae Claire Craig.
Don excelled, going to high school at 12, graduating from the University of Kansas in 1949. He served with the Marine Corps. during the Korean War and worked as a early television Director at KCMO TV. He worked as a sales and marketing Director for Halo Lighting, eventually serving as President of the UK Lighting Association. He always continued his love of classical music, choral singing and history. He joined the Richard III Society in 1958 which started a love of all things English, bringing him to move to England in 1982. He was particularly interested in the historical record of Richard III, culminating with participation of the Royal Re-interment in 2015. He returned to the US for retirement, settling in St. Louis, MO, bowling and enjoying life.
