Nunzio Mugavero

Limited Family Visitation.

Nunzio Peter Mugavero, age 92, of Victorian Village, Homer Glen, IL, died at home on July 28, 2020.  He passed peacefully in his sleep. He was born in Chicago in 1927.  He married his soul mate Ann (nee Andriola) Mugavero on January 23, 1954.  Nunzio served in the U.S. Army in World War II and was a teacher for the Chicago Public Schools for over 30 years.  He loved to play handball, ride his bike, and fish.  He is preceded in death by his son Michael.  He is survived by his wife Ann, sons, Jim (Dale), John (Teresa), and Dan (Christine), and daughter Nancy (Ben).  He has eight grandchildren, Steven, Christopher (Kim), Nicole (Sean), Jennifer, (Nick), Ashley (Mike), Meghan (Joel), Matthew (Liz), and Nicholas.  He has nine great-grandchildren.  He will be waked at Heritage Funeral Home, 3117 South Oak Park Avenue, Berwyn, IL, Friday, July 31, 2020, 3-8 p.m.  The funeral mass will be at St. Mary of Celle Catholic Church, 1428 South Wesley Avenue, Berwyn, IL, the morning of Saturday, August 1, 2020.  Please note masks are required while inside all buildings. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at lls.org.
