Mary (Tyrrell) Toriello

Mary R. Toriello passed away peacefully at home, with her husband and her children by her side. She was born in Muscatine, Iowa, to Jack and Catherine Tyrrell. She was a loving wife to Larry, her husband of 54 years, and a devoted mother to their three children--Candy Simons(Lee), Linda Osterbusch, and Jim Toriello(Laurin) Mary was a loving and proud “Nonnie” to Grace, William and Jack Toriello, and Heather Simons Saalfeld. Her two sisters, Margaret Hendricks and Ruth Wood also survive her. 
 
Mary  thrived on being the best wife, mother and “Nonnie”.She loved to entertain, whether it was for two or 32, and she always had an open door and helping hand for those in need. Mary made time for her community too, including Berwyn Family Service and Route 66 Historical Society.  She was an election judge for many years and participated in the Red Hats.  Mary touched many lives and will be sorely missed. 
 
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 6 from 11am to 1pm at Heritage Funeral Home, 3117 Oak Park Avenue, in Berwyn.  
 
The family suggests that any donations be made to AMITA Health Adventist St. Thomas Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.
