Tom grew up in the Logan Square area of Chicago. He attended St. Sylvester’s School and St. Patrick High School. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy.

Devoted son of the late Kathryn (nee Laya) and the late Stanley Mazur; Loving brother of Christine (Fred) Wojciuch and Carol (Robert) Drake; dear Uncle of David (Brandy) and Ryan (Alicia) Wojciuch; Grand uncle of Alison, Luke and Aiden; brother from another mother of Chester (Jack) Smalec; Life partner and adored best friend of Kathleen Evans-Mazur; Fur and Feather dad to Snow, Bogie, Peaches, Little, William, Beth, Halvah, Nicky, Ice, River and Ochoa.

In school he was known as the “Amazin’ Maze” because he excelled in every sport.

Later in life his friends called him “Gator” because he was the “instigator.”

A lifelong devoted Chicago Cub fan, he was over joyed when the Cubs won the World Series. He also loved watching the 3 B’s--Bears, Bulls and the Blackhawks.

An avid fan of the Three Stooges, he could quote lines from most episodes.

A fan of the Rolling Stones, Little Feat, Led Zeppelin Leonard Cohen, and David Bowie.

Private interment.
