Anakin "Scooter" Smith Obituary

Our journey with Anakin began when he came into our lives at 6 years old, and for the next 6 years, we had the privilege of witnessing his growth and being a part of his journey.  From the very start, it was evident that Anakin was truly special. His passions were boundless, and he expressed his creativity with fearless enthusiasm. He had a deep love for music, joyfully singing country songs with Grandpa or belting out the entire Hamilton soundtrack from his bedroom. Anakin was a vibrant and active child, finding joy in swimming, reading, and playing baseball and basketball. He was infatuated with all things Harry Potter, and we will forever cherish the memories of him bouncing around the house with his wand, cloak of invisibility, and a lightning bolt painted on his forehead.  We were fortunate to explore many wonderful places with Anakin, creating cherished memories on our trips to the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls. These adventures, filled with laughter and awe, are some of our most treasured moments with him.  While we gave Anakin everything we could, he ultimately gave us so much more in return. He was a beacon of joy and a true blessing in our lives. With an endless capacity for forgiveness, Anakin taught everyone around him the true meaning of unconditional love. We will forever remember him for his incredible strength and resilience, qualities that left a lasting mark on all who knew him.  Visitation on Monday August 5, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home 3117 S. We little knew that morning

God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly,

In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,

You did not go alone,

For part of us went with you,

The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,

Your love is still our guide,

And though we cannot see you,

You are always by our side.

Our family chain is broken,

And nothing seems the same,

But as God calls us one by one,

The chain will link again.
