Betty Rodriguez

Betty Torrez Rodriguez passed away on February 21st 2023 surrounded by all those that loved her. Born on December 4, 1930, Betty, spent 92 wonderful years spreading joy to any and all around her. She loved everyone deeply and fully. She was the kind of person who just had more love in her heart for the more people who joined our lives. Betty was born in Waukegan Illinois and grew up surrounded by a large family. Her parents, Mariano Torrez and Maria Becerra and her 6 siblings, Frank, Andy, Mariano Jr, Ruben, Yancey, and Jane. She met her husband, Trinidad Rodriguez, and got married on March 20th 1954. Betty had 5 children, Pamela, Deborah, Rosemary, Arthur, and Dolores. She is survived by her 2 brothers, 5 children, 22 grandchildren, and 35 great grandchildren. She could always be found baking a cake or a batch of cookies and she never turned down a game of 500 Rummie. She was a fun-loving woman, one who never really grew old. Her smile was made of sunshine and her heart was solid gold. A loving and wonderful woman until the very end. She will be greatly missed by everyone who’s lives she touched.

I am home in Heaven dear ones;

There is perfect joy and beauty

In this everlasting light.

All pain and grief is over,

Every restless tossing passed;

I am now at peace forever.

Safely home in Heaven at last.

There is work still waiting for you,
