Carlos Rubalcava

Our beloved father Carlos Rubalcava, 63, of Little Village, Chicago passed away on on April 7, 2023. Carlos was born on September 20, 1959 to Mauro Ruvalcaba Pacheco and Emilia Chávez Rosales in Colotlán, municipality of Jalisco, Mexico.

Carlos is survived by his wife Elvira Berumen of 39 years, son Jorge (Erendira Vazquez Parrales), and daughters Carla (Juan Jose González), Alejandra and Claudia, brother Ignacio, sisters Edelmira and Lilia, and loving grandchildren José Maria, Daniel, and Valeria Eloise. Carlos cared deeply for his family. His happiest moments were when children and grandchildren visited, enjoying delicious food, lively conversation, and happy memories. 

Services will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home, 3117 South Oak Park Avenue Berwyn, IL 60402. The funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Epiphany Church on 2524 South Keeler, Chicago, IL 60623. His final resting place will be at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (1400 S. Wolf Road Hillside, IL 60162) where his family plans to celebrate his life with a mariachi. Post burial, the family is planning to host a luncheon at Rustico (722 Lake St, Oak Park, IL 60301. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Epiphany Catholic School at https://epiphanychicago.org/online-giving. Please select “Epiphany School Tuition” or to Lawndale Christian Health Center at https://lawndale.org/donate, select “James Fund” which specifically uses funds to cover visits and medication for those who can not afford paying for their healthcare. You may dedicate your donation in memory of Carlos. 

Nuestro querido padre Carlos Rubalcava, de 63 años, de La Villita, Chicago falleció el 7 de abril de 2023. Carlos nació el 20 de septiembre de 1959 de Mauro Ruvalcaba Pacheco y Emilia Chávez Rosales en Colotlán, municipio de Jalisco, México. 

A Carlos le sobreviven su esposa Elvira Berumen de 39 años, su hijo Jorge (Erendira Vazquez Parrales) y sus hijas Carla (Juan Jose González), Alejandra y Claudia, su hermano Ignacio, sus hermanas Edelmira y Lilia, y sus amados nietos José María, Daniel y Valeria Eloísa. Carlos quería profundamente a su familia. Sus momentos más felices fueron cuando sus hijos y nietos lo visitaban, disfrutando de comida deliciosa, conversaciones animadas y recuerdos felices. 

Los servicios se llevarán a cabo el jueves 13 de abril de 2023 de 3:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m. en Heritage Funeral Home, 3117 South Oak Park Avenue Berwyn, IL 60402. La misa fúnebre se llevará a cabo el viernes 14 de abril de 2023 a las 10:00 AM en Epiphany Church en 2524 South Keeler, Chicago, IL 60623. Su lugar de descanso final será en el Cementerio Católico Queen of Heaven (1400 S. Wolf Road Hillside, IL 60162) donde su familia planea celebrar su vida con mariachi. Después del entierro, la familia planea organizar un almuerzo en Rustico (722 Lake St, Oak Park, IL 60301).
