Cesar Jorge Tavarez

It is with deep love and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Cesar J Tavarez.  He was born on July 28th 1976 and passed away on August 10th 2025.  Cesar is survived by his parents Javier and Eugenia Leon.  Devoted husband to Maria Torres, beloved father to four children, Alexis V Tavarez, Cesar D Tavarez, Jade V Tavarez and Ruby N Tavarez. Supportive brother to Jose, Griselda, and Sonia. Cesar was a fun and loving person who was always the life of the party, wanting to make people laugh, and most importantly, to feel loved. He touched many with his bold spirit and unwavering generosity to make sure people were well fed, welcome in his home, and always felt protective of his own people. Many know him as a diehard Cubs fan, going to downtown to either Lincoln Park Zoo, the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, or anything he referred to as an unknown adventure or “Field Trip”, all while walking around in a Cubs jersey and his Jordans!!

Visitation on Saturday August 16, 2025 at Heritage Funeral Home 3117 S. Oak Park Avenue, Berwyn from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m.  Prayer service at 7:00 p.m.   Cremation is private.
