Clarissa Perez Obituary

Clarissa E. Perez, a lifelong Chicagoland resident, died unexpectedly on Friday, December 03, 2021 at the age of 61, from complications of COVID at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn.

Clarissa was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her former spouse, Santos R. Perez Jr.(Eric Halverson); her children, David C. Perez(Candice Daniels); Santos R. Perez; Vanessa Romero (Nick Romero); Betty Perez and her grandchildren, Joel, Cameron, Jaden , Anthony, Maya, Drake, Juliet, Niccolet, Dezlyn, Ariella, Romeo, Ava and Christian

Clarissa was born May 05, 1960 to Charles W. Triner and Margaret A. Murray who resided on 33rd and Green St. In Chicago's Southside neighborhood of Bridgeport. She later moved to Little Village. She attended McCormick school from K- 8th grade. She remembered every teacher and every classmate from every year. She never let anyone forget she won the spelling bee aside from all the other activities she was in.  She attended and graduated St. Ann's high school. Some of her greatest memories came from her amazing childhood in school years.

Clara went on to become a Marine corps wife. She was a patriot and always honored our armed forces. She birthed and raised three children. She was the most loving mother. Her children were her life. She was a very loved grandmother to 13 grandchildren. She loved her Betty.
Clarissa was a proud Irish/Bohemian. A proud Chicagoan from the Little Village. She loved her trivia, Coca-Cola and most of all, her oldies. It was most definitely always a Taurus thang, especially about her food and steak. Laughing, music, and dancing with family and friends gave her the greatest joy. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and love and will be immensely missed by family and friends and all who knew her.

I am home in Heaven dear ones;

Oh, so happy and so bright!

There is perfect joy and beauty

In this everlasting light.

All pain and grief is over,

Every restless tossing passed;

I am now at peace forever.

Safely home in Heaven at last.

There is work still waiting for you,

So you must not idly stand,

Do it now, while life remains,

You shall rest in Jesus’ land.

When that work is all completed,

He will gently call you Home;

Oh, the rapture of that meeting,

Oh the joy to see you come!
