Cristina Reyes-Morales

Cristina “Grandma” Reyes-Morales went home to Jesus on June 23, 2021, at the age of 70.

Cristina was born in Mexico to Guillermina Garcia Vasquez and Isaias Reyes on February 2, 1951. As an only child, she found many ways to be creative, she loved to care for animals at a young age, and enjoyed arts and crafts that later developed into a joyful hobby.

Cristina met her husband, Indalecio Morales in the late 1960s while he was walking in front of the perfume shop where she worked. They fell in love and got married and went on to have five children (Rubi (Luis), Indalecio, Xochitl (Fabian), Elizabeth (Vito), and Eleazar). The family tree continues to grow, she was blessed with 13 Grandchildren (Roxanne, Jose Luis, Krystal, Sergio G., Jessica, Sergio M., Morelia, Damien, Christina, Izabelle, Tristan, Ameriyah, and Jeremy) and 19 Great Grandchildren (Jaida, Julius, Angel, Isaiah, Soraya, Mireya, Katalea, Israel, Karina, Donavin, Miabella, Maximus, Elicia, Avanna, Levi, Ezekiel, Enzo, Leilani, and Julian Rose).

Throughout her life “Grandma” maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and hearts of many. One of the ways she would win the hearts of everyone was through her authentic home-cooked meals. She demonstrated selflessness by putting the needs of others before herself, her love for her family was unconditional, and her signature gift was giving. She had the sweetest and cutest smile that always brightened up a room and her greatest delight was her children and grandbabies gathering together.

What a legacy, what a life, she was blessed beyond measure. In sharing the joy and the pain together today, may we lessen the pain and remember more clearly the joy. Forever in our hearts, we love you “Grandma”.
