Dora Veronica Campos Perez de Arana, born on January 9, 1961, in Guatemala, passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 63. Her passing leaves a profound void, but her life is celebrated for the immense love, compassion, and generosity she brought into the world. Dora was known as a second mother to many, thanks to her tremendous heart and unwavering kindness. Wherever she went, she cared for others and ensured everyone was treated with fairness and respect. Her ability to connect with people and spread love made her a beacon of light to those fortunate enough to know her. Her greatest pride and joy was being the best grandmother known to man—a role she embraced with unparalleled devotion and care. She was a guiding force for her beloved sons, always encouraging them to strive to become better men in all aspects of life. Her nurturing spirit helped shape not only her family but also everyone around her. Dora’s smile was a testament to her inner joy—it lit up the room and reminded those who saw it of her unshakable happiness and love. Dora was also celebrated for her incredible cooking skills. Her meals were cherished by all who had the privilege to share them, infused with her special ingredient: love. Her kitchen was a place of connection and comfort, where she brought people together and created memories that will forever warm our hearts. A true humanitarian, Dora consistently gave back to her community, sharing clothes, toys, and her time with those in need. Her generosity and selflessness served as an inspiration to everyone around her, leaving a legacy of kindness that will endure for generations. She is survived by her devoted husband, Carlos Enrique Arana; her beloved sons, Carlos Sabu Arana and Sean Kadir Arana; and her cherished grandchildren, Adriel Mateo Arana, Ariana Grace Arana, and Kadir Enrique Arana. Her father and immediate siblings, Rafael Campos, Hermina Campos, Judith Oliva, Marisol Campos, Orlando Campos, Lorena Campos, and Jessie Campos, also mourn her passing and celebrate her extraordinary life. A Mass in her honor will be held on Saturday January 4th, at St. Odilo Church, 2244 East Ave, Berwyn, IL, at 9:30 AM. Following the Mass, a Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place at Heritage Funeral Home, 3117 Oak Park Ave, Berwyn, IL 60402, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. As a family, we are heartbroken by her loss, but we encourage everyone to carry forward her legacy. Dora believed deeply in the power of unity and love. She taught us that life’s greatest priorities are faith in God and connection with family. We invite everyone to honor her memory by reaching out to loved ones, restoring bonds, and nurturing relationships. Time on earth is limited and uncertain—let us use it to spread love, just as Dora did every day of her life.
