Douglas (Doug) Bennett, 83 years old, longtime Southside of Chicago resident passed away peacefully on April 28th surrounded by his loving family.
He was survived by his children Kimberly (Michael) Bennett, Douglas (Charles) Bennett, Daniel (Bonnie) Bennett, Jeffery (Aubrey) Bennett, Catherine Bennett,
Bessie (Herbie) Alvarez, Crystal Deetz, Jodie (Joe) Quiles, Jamie (Simon) Juarez, Jeanne (Beto) Jimenez, Freddie (Clarissa) Bramwell, Jessica (Martin) Varela, beloved sister Patty Higgison, beloved niece/caregiver MaryBeth Lamb and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Doug served in the US Air Force. He was strong, courageous and hard working. He loved fishing, watching old shows, and never passed up the chance to share a drink and good conversation with his friends. A lifelong Chicago White Sox and Bears fan, Doug’s loyalty to his teams was unmatched.
He was proceeded in death by his love Judy Bramwell, Mother Mary Lou Fentress, Mother-in-law Fannie King, Brother-in-law Donald Lamb and many other loved ones.
