Gloria Angelica Gomez, age 68, of Chicago, IL was called to heaven on Monday, April 17, 2023. Beloved daughter of Maria Concepcion Garcia Marquez and Leoncio Garcia (At peace); devoted wife to Joel Gomez; loving mother to Joel Jr., Enrique, Osvaldo, Leoncio, and Sergio; cherished grandmother to Angel, Raquel (At peace) Isaac, Jonathan, Anthony, Ruby, Nicholas, Brianna, Jocellyn,  Jaylline, Joey, Dominick, Sergio, Emmie, Ozzie, and Benjamin; adored sister to Perla, Martha, Blanca (Yoliz), Judith, Roxanna, Norma, Leoncio, and Angel; fond aunt to many nephews and nieces.

Gloria was born on August 17th 1954 in San Luis Potosi, SLP Mexico. She was a beautiful and caring soul. Always full of laughter and happiness. Her family was her heart and always came first. All her sisters, brothers, sons, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews were her “babies”. A mother to many. She loved and cherished her dogs: Bruno (At peace), Nena (At peace), Grips, and La Guera.  Gloria will always be in our hearts.
 

Dios vio que él estaba cansado

y una cura no era posible.

Así, que lo arropo con sus brazos

y murmuro a su oído 

"Ven Conmigo."

Con nuestros corazones llorosos

lo vimos ir despareciendo.

Y aunque lo amábamos demasiado,

fue imposible no dejarle ir.

Un corazón de oro dejo de latir,

unas manos trabajadoras 

a descansar.
