Jacqueline "Jackie" S. Kostner

Jacqueline S. "Jackie" Kostner age 87, longtime Cicero resident, beloved friend and neighbor to all, at rest July 23, 2024.   Devoted mother of Richard (Kathleen) Kostner (nee; Pennington).  Loving grandmother of Katharine and Margaret Kostner.  Dear sister of Janet Blazek.  Special Aunt of Vicki (Norman) Harper and Ronald Blazek Jr. and many cousins.   Much loved in law of Pat Pennington, and special friend of Holly Striska.  Preceded in death by her parents Adolph and Victoria Duda (nee; Mazur) and her faithful canine companion Zuzu.  Until retiring in 2022, Jackie was Program Assistant for Cicero Grade School District 99 Special Education Program.  Jackie's happiest moments were spending time with her family and especially with her granddaughters, Katie and Maggie, watching them in their shows and musical events.  Jackie was a woman of strong faith, she was a firm believer in the power or prayer.  She was also a fabulous cook, known for her "made from scratch" potato salad, larger than life meatloaf, finger dumplings, and her peach upside down cake.   Memorial Visitation on Sunday August 4, 2024 from 3-8 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, 3117 S. Oak Park Avenue, Berwyn.   Family and friends to meet on Monday August 5, 2024 for 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Leonard Catholic Church, 3318 S. Clarence Avenue, Berwyn.  Funeral services will conclude at the church.
