Jaime "Jimmy" Contreras

Jaime Contreras, affectionately known as Jimmy, passed away on September 21, 2023, at the age of 41. He was born on November 6, 1981, and his departure has left a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Jimmy is preceded in death by his father, Antonio Contreras, and his mother, Maria Avalos. He is survived by his loving family, including his siblings and siblings-in-law: Maria Avalos (Valentin), Lily Nino (Fidel), Emily Valenzuela (Rob), Maria Contreras Haleem (Sam), Yesenia Avalos (Jorge), Carlos Avalos, Veronica Contreras (Ricardo), Anahis Contreras and Jesus Contreras as well as many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jimmy was a professional finisher/taper with the Chicago Painters’ Local 147. Beyond his professional life, Jimmy was an avid biker, delivered Toys for Tots, and Harley Davidson enthusiast. Jimmy was a passionate NFL enthusiast who loved to root for his beloved Green Bay Packers. His enthusiasm for them was infectious, and he shared many memorable moments watching games with family and friends. Jimmy’s memory will be forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and a strong sense of family pride. In our hearts, he will live on, and his spirit will continue to live in us.
