Obituary

Joan Burger (Peroutka), 87, of Berwyn, Illinois passed away peacefully on June 4th 2020.

Joan was born on May 15, 1933 to Laddie and Ann Peroutka. After graduating from Phillips High School in 1951, she moved to Chicago where she married Adolph (Ottie) Burger on April 4th, 1953. She had three children, Nancy, Diane, and Scott.

Along with enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchild, Joan loved her sports. During the summer months, she enjoyed watching and listening to baseball, especially the Whitesox. And during the fall and winter it was football and hockey. She tried to catch the Packers anytime she could, and always watched the Blackhawks.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Laddie and Ann Peroutka;  brother, Larry (Babe); and husband.

She is survived by her children, Nancy (Ginger) and her husband Don, Diane (Johnson) and her husband Arden, and Scott and his wife Kathy;  her 9 grandchildren, Brian, Michael, Samantha, Brandon, Aaron, Amanda, Kevin, Rachel, and Eric; her  1 great grandchild, Colin; and her brother George.

Because of the current on-going health situation, we have decided to celebrate Joan’s life at a date sometime in the future.
