Joan "Lynda" Miller

Joan "Lynda" Miller, at rest September 28, 2025.  Loving mother of Gabe, Gigi, Toddy, Penny, and Chickie.  Grandmother of 10, great grandmother of 13, and great-great grandmother of one.  Graduate of Hyde Park High School Class of 1955, avid square dancer, ukelele player, singer in various choirs for over 50 years.  Founder and Coordinator of the West Suburban Clown Club as Toot Toot The Clown & Registered in the Clowns of America as The Famous Granny Skates. Taught clown class for 12 years in Adult Education at Lyons Township HS.  Winner of First Place trophies as a clown in parades all over the Chicagoland suburbs.  Retired Chaplain of the LaGrange Park Police Department, where she served for 25 years.  Also Chaplain at Hinsdale Hospital and La Grange Hospital.  She enjoyed reading and music, and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She had a fierce love for the Lord and it guided her throughout her life.

Visitation on Friday October 3, 2025 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home  3117 S. Oak Park Avenue  Berwyn, IL.   Funeral Saturday October 4, with visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Western Springs Baptist Church, 4475 Wolf Road, Western Springs, IL 60558.  Service at 11:00 a.m.
