Margarita De Santiago Hernandez

Margarita De Santiago age 76 born in Nochixtlán, Oaxaca February 15, 1947. Passed on July 25th, 2023 in Chicago, Illinois. Margarita spent some time in Mexico City as a teen then moved to Chicago in 1971. She met her husband Carlos De Santiago shortly after and started a family of 5. 

Margarita enjoyed demonstrating her love through cooking. Making others feel happy through her delicious meals gave her the most joy. There’s nothing she couldn’t make and each meal she prepared made us feel at home. We will remember her listening and singing to boleros, dancing cumbias and enjoying her conchas. She was a fierce woman who did everything she could for children and grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
