With deep love and heavy hearts, we honor the life of our beloved María Felicidad Sánchez, a true Texan rose whose strength, grace, and spirit touched all who knew her.
María Felicidad was the proud mother of nine children, a loving grandmother to 14 grandchildren, and a cherished great-grandmother to 6 great-grandchildren. She was also a devoted Tía to 22 nieces and nephews, each of whom carries a piece of her legacy. Her life was rooted in familia, and her love continues to shape every generation she touched.
She was deeply cariñosa, always showing her love through thoughtful gestures - whether it was a warm meal, a bit of unsolicited advice, or a surprise gift from her secret stash (she was better stocked than Amazon or any big box store). And we must not forget how she also loved to celebrate life, especially dancing her Texas two-step with her sisters, that is where her joy and spirit truly shined bright.
A woman of profound strength and resilience, she was never a victim of circumstance, but always a survivor. She faced life with courage and dignity, rising above challenges with quiet determination and fortaleza. Like a Texas rose, she bloomed with beauty and strength, even through life’s toughest seasons.
Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren - in their resilience, their corazón, and the ways they carry forward her strength and love, even through life’s challenges. Each generation reflects a part of who she was, keeping her spirit alive in our familia.
Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit endures - in our memories, our values, and the love we continue to share.
Descansa en paz, querida Mary. Forever one of our Texas roses, always blooming in our hearts.
