Maria D. Rivera

Maria D. Rivera, at rest June 9, 2024.  Maria "Chuy" Rivera was born in Guachinango, Jalisco Mexico to Jose Santiago and Maria Socorro Santigo Sedano on June 12, 1953. Maria was an avid traveler who loved exploring new places, experiencing different cultures and embarking on adventures.Her favorite places to travel were to the beaches of Cancun and Punta Cana. She often traveled with her small group of friends but never hesitated to go alone. Her love for travel left a lasting impact on those around her and her adventurous spirit will be remembered and cherished by family and friends.  Maria is preceded in death by her father, Jose Santiago and her youngest niece, Samantha Figueroa.   She leaves to cherish in her memory her Mother, Maria Santiago. Sister Connie Figueroa (Reynaldo) Brother, Jose Luis Santiago (Joan), Nieces Veronica (Armando), Virginia (Juan) Gabriela (Emil) Arian and Brianna and 8 Great Nieces and Nephews: Tristan, Teagan , Adam, Lily, Isaac, Riley, Morgan and newborn Layla and a host of other relatives and friends.  Maria will be dearly missed.  Visitation will be on Monday June 17 2024 from 3pm to 8pm at Heritage Funeral Home 3117 S. Oak Park Avenue in Berwyn IL.  Mass will be on Tuesday June 18, 2024 at 9:00 am at Maria Reyna (Mary Queen of Heaven Church) in Cicero IL.  Services will conclude at the church.  Cremation Private.
