Michael Martino Obituary

MICHAEL ANTHONY MARTINO passed away on August 23, 2021, at the age of 58, after a valiant fight with cancer. He was born on March 8, 1963 in Chicago and lived most of his life in Berwyn, IL. Michael is survived by his beloved Mary Kitzberger; devoted son of Geraldine Nikrasch (Coccia); brother of Brian and Laurie; nephew of Vincent and Sulee Coccia; proud uncle of James and Vincent Wallis. Enjoyed family time with his many cousins.  Loyal friend to many. Mike was a carpenter and welder by trade. He was an avid fisherman and appreciated the great outdoors. He had a passion for creating original designs in wood and metal. Many admired his artwork and his inventions.  Michael built the altar for the chapel at St. Odilo Church in Berwyn.  There were always several creative projects in various stages of development and completion. There will be a Funeral Mass at St. Odilo Church in Berwyn, IL. on September 3rd at 9:30 am.  Interment Mt. Carmel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or a Cancer Society would be appreciated.
