Phyllis Litrento

Phyllis Litrento, age 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 23, 2024 at Mac Neal Hospital in Berwyn.  She was born July 24, 1944 in Chicago to Remel and Winifred Piffer.  Phyllis' beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her sibling, William P. Piffer, her children, Monique, Winifred, Joseph, Domingo and Denise, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a host of nephews, cousins and friends.  Phyllis will be remembered for her personality traits and things she loved.  A Tribute in Memory of Phyllis will be held on August 3, 2024 from 12:00 noon until 3:30 p.m. at the Lyons Village Hall Community Center, 4200 Lawndale Avenue, Lyons, IL 60534.  A prayer service will be led by Chaplain Monterlongo.  

When I must leave you for a little while please do not grieve and shed wild tears

And hug your sorrow to you through the years

But start out bravely with a gallant smile;

And for my sake and in my name

live on and do all things the same; feed not your loneliness on empty days,

But fill each waking hour in useful ways,

Reach out your hand in comfort and in cheer and I in turn will comfort you

And hold you near; and never, never be afraid to die.
