Robert "Bob" Grzegorek

Robert (Bob) Grzegorek, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on June 8, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, Bob spent his early childhood in Nashville, Illinois, with his grandparents until his father returned from the Army. He later moved to Chicago, where he lived with his father, grandmother and aunt, and graduated from Kelly High School in 1966.

In 1967, Bob met the love of his life, Charlene, on a blind date. The two were inseparable from that moment on and were married on April 4, 1970. Together they built a beautiful life and welcomed their daughter, Dawn, soon after.

Bob had a lifelong passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, a love he shared with Charlene. The couple spent many of their vacations on the open road, exploring the country on one of Bob’s three beloved Harleys. One of their most cherished adventures was riding Route 66 from Chicago to San Diego, then up the coast and back home on Route 80 on his Harley Touring bike that he won in a raffle.

Bob was a devoted father to Dawn (Mike) Seno and a proud, doting grandfather to Gianna (Steven) Sourigno, Genarro and Juliana Seno. He was a fun-loving brother-in-law, a caring uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a devoted friend to many. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 27, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Richard Catholic Church, 5032 S. Kostner Avenue, Chicago, IL 60632.

Bob’s legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
