Roman Sulejewski Obituary

Roman Sulejewski was Chicago born and raised, his parents immigrated to America from Poland after WWII. After finishing high school, Roman enlisted in the U.S. Army where he assisted as a field radio tech. He went on to become self employed, working as a computer technician. He cherished family life, stepping in to raise Karolina & having his own loving daughter with Danusia in 1994. His hobbies included playing in pool tournaments, attending concerts, and spoiling his kids with his presence and love. Roman was diagnosed with terminal cancer in June of 2016 at the age of 50. He kept his hopes high, saying he still felt like he could stick around for at least another 5 years. Chemotherapy hurt him more than it helped, so after about a year and a half of treatments, he decided to stop treatment altogether and put his care in God’s hands. He fought long and hard, making sure he created more memories with his family and that his time was well spent. His efforts to remain strong will never be forgotten.  Roman passed away around 5:30 A.M. on Veteran’s Day with his closest family and a priest by his side; it was when the priest arrived he was at peace and decided to let go and let God. He is survived by his two daughters Cynthia Sulejewski & Karolina Koltas, granddaughter Kalina Koltas, & ex wife Danusia. Preceded in death by both of his parents Henry & Jozefa Sulejewski and his dear brother whom he always missed,    John Sulejewski. This journey and his perseverance have taught us all the preciousness of life, love, and family.
