Susan Harris

Sue was born on July 1, 1953, in Berwyn, Illinois, the daughter of Francis Frencl Sr. and Virginia L. Lawrence.  She married the late John J. Harris Sr. on August 2, 1971. Susan was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. She is survived by her four children: John J. Harris Jr. (Dawn) of Mattoon, Illinois; Daniel W. ( Becky) Harris  of Neoga, Illinois; Phillip J. Harris (April) of Gays, Illinois; and Jennifer A. Harris of Gays, Illinois.  Susan is also survived by her grandchildren: Heather A. Harris (Blake)  of Petersburg, Tennessee; Jeanette T. Harris of Effingham, Illinois; Phillip J. Harris II of Gays, Illinois; Irena Urbain of Lombard, Illinois; Virginia F. Harris of Gays, Illinois; Clayton Krutsinger of Neoga, Illinois.  Her great-grandchildren include Saphire T. Harris of Gays, Illinois and Cattleya Krutsinger of Neoga, Illinois. She is also survived by her brothers: Fred Frencl of Flippin, Arkansas; Tom (Della) Frencl of Stickney, Illinois; Terry Frencl of Tinley Park, Illinois; and one sister, Chris Czerwinski of Berwyn, Illinois.  Sue worked for many years as a Teacher's Aide at Morton West High School in Berwyn, Illinois, where she retired. She then moved to Lake Mattoon to enjoy her retirement.  She loved spending her time fishing, gardening, crocheting, and crafting. She also enjoyed serving as the Secretary of the Lake Mattoon Catfish Club. The most important thing in Sue's life was her family and friends. She never knew a stranger and was always there to help anyone she could.  Sue will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her beloved fur baby, Dutchess.

A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday August 8th, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home 3117 S. Oak Park Avenue, Berwyn, IL.  Interment private.
