Mrs. Delores Johnson, age 82, passed in her home at Catholic Charities Apartments Hines, Il, on Wednesday,December 28, 2016. The cause was cardiac arrest, allowing her to go peacefully in sleep. Delores was Born on January 23, 1934 in Saint Louis, MO. After some time, her family settled in Chicago. Early in life, she made a profession of faith in Christ. She worked at Motorola for many years, and successfully lead many entrepreneurial pursuits on her own before retiring. Delores was an active member of her community and longtime member of Broadview Baptist Church. Delores was preceded in death by her daughter, VernicaDanielson; her husband’s William Wright, Herbert Johnson, and Nathan Meyberry. Her survivors include her son, Robert Wright; her sister, Whylene McCray; her brother, Rev. Dr. Walter McCray; her special niece, Rosalyn Sibbey; and various nieces, nephews, grandchildren, cousins, extended family and friends. May Delores rest in peace in the arms of Jesus.
