It has taken me this long to find some words to express how much you are missed and how much we love you, Sam and yet I am finding it difficult there are simply no words. I am glad we got to meet in this lifetime. I still have all of the memories close to my heart. I wish there had been more time to share so many things... It does not get easier I will tell you that. I miss you, Sammy. We all do...

Samantha and I were close friends at Oxy. I remember her as such a kind and authentic person.
She was one of the best listeners I've known.
During our freshman year, I treated her unfairly, and I'll never forget how she responded:
"You're entitled to make mistakes. I wouldn't be able to hold what happened against you. It would only be a waste of what could be a really good friendship."
Such mature and forgiving words from a ~19-year-old.
We lost touch after I transferred schools, and I only recently learned of her tragic passing after trying to reach out to her to reconnect.
I wanted to send my love and sincerest condolences. We've never met, but you touched my life by raising such an amazing person.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Samantha. I have the fondest memories of meeting her in Malaga, Spain when we were studying abroad. Such a beautiful person, inside and out.

God Bless Sam's Family! She was always so beautiful, kind, caring, and fun! We spent a semester in Madrid and had great times at Oxy. Many of us girls from the Madrid semester know and love, Sam and will keep her memory alive.

I am still having trouble understanding the loss of such a precious angel, and so soon. I have the great fortune of being a Program Director, and Leadership Advisor during the years that Samantha spent as a young member of the Union League Boys and Girls Club. It's ironic - normally, kids gravitate towards staff members and mentors, but in Samantha's case, I was driven with a drive to work with her, and to make certain that she was a vital part of my leadership programs. It worked out pretty well, with Samantha becoming a winner of our Youth of The Year Award, and also as a guest on my radio show. Samantha was a rare diamond, with the rare talent and personality to allow for so many of us to love her. I enjoyed with pride, watching her succeed in life, pursuing and living her dreams, and although I am still hurting from this loss, my life has been made so much richer, with the inclusion and impact of Samantha. Thank you, Samantha for all that you have meant to so many others, and for your personal impact on me.

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of Samantha. I had the opportunity to host Samantha at Occidental College when she visited as a prospective student and was overtaken by her brightness, maturity, sense of humour and optimism. I was so pleased when she decided to attend Oxy and was so proud of her accomplishments. She was kind, beautiful, a talented dancer and an excellent student. Sam's passing is a huge loss to the community in which she worked, as she was a leader and a change-maker. My thoughts are with you in this difficult time.
